Donald Trump is bound to upset some Republicans with an announcement made on Saturday about his new administration.

Days after defeating Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election, Trump turned to his Truth Social platform to announce two people he wouldn't employ as part of his second term in the White House. One of those people was former United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who worked for Trump before.

Haley, who challenged Trump in the primary and got second place in the contest before dropping out and endorsing him, is thought by many experts to represent GOP voters who remain skeptical of the ex-president who's returning to office......

The article does not say if Haley asked to join trump WH or not.

Haley: Election should be wake-up call for ‘woke’ companies, government, Democrats and Republicans

Former Republican White House candidate Nikki Haley argued the results of this week’s election — in which her former primary rival, President-elect Trump, defeated Vice President Harris — should be a wake-up call for “woke” companies, government official and both Democrats and Republicans.

“I think at the end of the day, this should be a wake-up sign for companies that had gone woke. This should be a wake-up sign for government where they got so arrogant they started telling Americans what they should and shouldn’t do. This should be a wake-up call for the Democrat Party that … you don’t need to be leaning left, you need to be coming closer to the center,” Haley said on her Sirius XM show.

The former South Carolina governor had been sharply critical of Trump on the campaign trail. After she dropped out, it was questioned if she would support him, though she eventually endorsed Trump and has supported his candidacy.

Despite getting the election result she wanted, Haley argued this should also be a wake-up call for Republicans.

“This should be a wake-up call for the Republican Party too — don’t take this for granted,” she said.......................

supporting them in the general. Hardly unique to any political party.

George Bush's 'Voodoo Economics' was still one of the most apt descriptions of the far right's economic plans ever, that was a slap and a half at Reagan but look at who ended up Veep.....

Personally I am of the opinion I want a bitter, almost violent primary, I want the nastiest, dirtiest, hardest fighter to win the primary.

4. Understand this in the framework of TFG's misogyny

TFG insults Ted Cruz’ wife. Cruz bristles with anger and then does a u-turn, grovels and is welcomed home. JD criticized TFG in 2016. Grovels and is welcomed home. A woman, Hailey has the audacity to challenge TFG in a primary. Grovels and returns home to only be shunned. TFG says he doesn’t need her supporters to win, never spoke to her before the election.

This is NO SURPRISE. It is consistent. How dare she! More importantly, however, I frankly don’t give a da**.

10. No, it's that Haley snd Pompeo oppose Putin and support Ukraine.

That whole "war hawks" crap is a diversion. Trump isn't against "forever wars" or any war. He didn't pull out of the Afghanistan War. He left it to Biden to do that. No, what he is against is resisting Putin. Please get that straight.

6. "thought by many experts"

If there were any "experts" who truly believed that Haley voters weren't going to back Trump en masse, they weren't experts.

Most primary processes are contentious, and the supporters of the non-winning candidates almost always vote overwhelmingly for the nominee.

This one was never going to be any different. The claims to the contrary were nothing but wishful thinking.
