Biden reiterates US support for Ukraine after 'horrific' Russian attack

Source: The Hill

President Biden reiterated the United States’s support for Ukraine as it deals with the recent “horrific” Russian attack.

“Overnight, Russia carried out a horrific aerial attack against Ukraine. Ukrainian authorities report that Russia launched nearly 200 missiles and drones against Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure, depriving Ukrainian civilians of access to electricity,” Biden said in a statement.

Biden said the recent attack, which occurred as the United States prepared for its Thanksgiving holiday, was outrageous and is another reminder of the importance of supporting Ukraine. Biden said his administration has “for months” been working to help Ukraine increase its resilience in the energy sector and its Department of Defense as it attempts to surge its “critical capabilities.”

“Russia continues to underestimate the bravery, resilience, and determination for the Ukrainian people. The United States stands with more than 50 countries in support of Ukraine and its fight for freedom,” Biden said. The statement and attack come as major questions loom over the regional war. It follows Biden’s decision to authorize Ukraine to use long-range missiles inside of Russia.

How can we not HATE our Putin-loving opposition? Sure, we don't want to turn into the hate-mongering MAGATS that we oppose, but...

My tears and forever support are for the Ukrainians. If they go down, it will be in parallel with our own downfall.

Russia is raining down drones, and missiles on innocent Ukrainians EVERY DAY.

NATO and the US have spent how much money on defense budgets?

Unreal how inept the West is against this blantant terroristic war.

Really disgusting how pitiful the response has been

This is a Dream
I, my sis, and our parents (who passed IRL) were in one part of Ukraine my sis, me and my dad, and Ukrainians trying to escape to a safer area, leaving our mom behind. : (

My sis was talking Ukrainian to some of the citizens. I asked when did she ever learn Ukrainian?! She told me one of her closest Jewish friends (IRL we lived in a 2/3rds secular to conservative Jewish neighborhood), and their grandparents were Ukraine immigrants so she picked it up.

We were still in a messed up area, talking about further escape or fighting.

Weird, to have this out of nowhere.

Georgia. (In Asia.) People are out on the streets. They do not want to be part of Russia. I believe it will start there, and make its way, this way. The fact that we’re about 200 years behind, makes no never mind. I can still march. I’m 71. I can do it. We can do it. And lest you think I haven’t been here before? It’s my ‘every morning’ wake-up to, site. I appreciate you all. We’ll win. We will.
