I live in Mid WI and a few weeks ago, I put my winter bag of extra warm cloths and a big quilt into my car.
Also, peanuts and candy bars and candle and matches. I do it every year as many others that I know do also.
And of course ice salt and shovel.

But I couldn’t stand the snow because it hung around forever.

from New Castle, PA. After I was done laughing at her (I'm from western NY originally), I asked her if she was serious. She said yes again. After I was done laughing at her a second time, I told her she was dreaming and I wouldn't risk our lives so she could get a few pictures of her in a blizzard to show her family in China.

She pouted and gave me typical Chinese sa jiao until I showed her live streaming of I90 in Erie. She asked why she could only see white. Then I had to explain what a whiteout was. Then she asked why we weren't getting snow. I had to explain lake effect. She still wanted to go and I told her it's a long walk and I hoped he liked the scenery on the hike.

Her desire to experience a blizzard doesn't trump my desire not to deal with that driving.
