The lawyer helping Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pick federal health officials for the incoming Trump administration has petitioned the government to revoke its approval of the polio vaccine, which for decades has protected millions of people from a virus that can cause paralysis or death.
That campaign is just one front in the war that the lawyer, Aaron Siri, is waging against vaccines of all kinds.
Mr. Siri has also filed a petition seeking to pause the distribution of 13 other vaccines; challenged, and in some cases quashed, Covid vaccine mandates around the country; sued federal agencies for the disclosure of records related to vaccine approvals; and subjected prominent vaccine scientists to grueling videotaped depositions.
Much of Mr. Siri’s work — including the polio petition filed in 2022 — has been on behalf of the Informed Consent Action Network, a nonprofit whose founder is a close ally of Mr. Kennedy. Mr. Siri also represented Mr. Kennedy during his presidential campaign.

(3,306 posts)I want to see the actual, scientific research papers and accompanying peer reviews. What’s that? You don’t have any? You’re operating off of something you read on Facebook or other…”legitimate” source? GTFO here.

(5,276 posts)The sugar cubes were given in the cafeteria and the line to get the vaccine looked stretched across & around the playground. School kids, pre-schoolers, parents, grand parents, aunts/uncles, and just anybody from the 'hood. It was like a gleeful block party.
Most of the adults had known people who got polio when they were young. NOBODY wanted to skip the vaccine and everyone was very gracious to the health care workers who gave the doses. Such relief on the faces of the adults, knowing their kids would be unlikely to die in iron lungs of their memories, or even have to spend their lives in heavy metal leg braces.
Sometimes I think RFK jr is just so angry about losing his father that he wants to punish the whole world. He is a sick sick man and should NEVER be in ANY position of government authority.

(17,494 posts)He and others wanted an excuse for Aspergers as due their superior genetics it was impossible for it to be a genetic disease that a child was born with. So it had to be something else that the children were exposed to. Ahh. Has to be the vaccines that caused it as their superior blueblood genes could not be it.
His line of thinking and others is that a child could not have been born autistic, it has to be something else. It could not ever have been the parents fault - hence the first "Karens".

Polio was close to eradication. The last wild case anywhere in the Americas was in the 1990s. The only countries where it is still circulating are Afghanistan, Pakistan, and some war-torn areas like Gaza. Let's not go backwards.

Thank you.

He was a great man who wasn’t worried about compensation, he was a humanitarian. I’m to young to have witnessed polio but I’ve heard the horror stories. Iron lung, just kill me I’m already dead living in this contraption.
