2. Can they do that if a lawyer wants to provide pro-bono services? Regardless of someone's age or immigration status,

doesn't the Constitution guarantee due process and the right to legal representation?

5. I expect they would probably be using "private" (albeit - social service non-profits, etc)

for legal representation. But apparently this "order" cuts off government-provided legal services (most like contracted legal organizations). That will probably be challenged in court as there is always this debate about what "equal protection" really means and whether it applies to non-citizens.

and it appears it is something that the 45 administration is probably going to *selectively* utilize. I.e., consider SOME immigrants (European - and most recently, white South Africans) as "legitimate" and everyone else is an "illegal" where no law but what they say, applies.

And yes - I can imagine other countries might retaliate in that manner as well.
