Donald Trump Suggests US Could Join British Commonwealth
Source: Newsweek
President Donald Trump suggested that the United States could join the British Commonwealth on Friday in a post to Truth Social, his social media platform.
The president shared an article from British tabloid The Sun reporting that King Charles III was making a "secret offer" to the White House, and that plans are in process for the U.S. to become an associate member of the international organization.
"I Love King Charles. Sounds good to me!" Trump wrote in response to the report.

(12,130 posts)A) He thinks that "Commonwealth" means he gets money from the UK if we join.
Or B) He thinks that if the U.S. becomes a member, he's got a shot at becoming the King some day.

Trump accuses federal judge of trying to 'usurp' his presidential power ...
Today"Judge James Boasberg is doing everything in his power to usurp the Power of the Presidency," Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. 3.

(1,597 posts)And there is no way he would step on parliment's toes to offer someone who is literally destroying another democracy a membership in the Commonwealth. Trump has zero clue what the Commonwealth is, how as the Empire slowed and countries left it, Queen Elizabeth II pulled together a Commonwealth of nations. He wouldn't understand why any countries would band together for the good of each other. He's a moron.
Catch is, King Charles doesn't get involved (usually unless it involves green initiatives or preserving history) in politics. And Trump has such a poor reputation in the UK and the Commonwealth - there's no way he'd risk it. It's bad enough that his brother is also an Epstein pedo, leaping on his legacy.
Anyway, I'm sorry for the little rant. But, it makes me so extra furious when that orange POS acts like the Queen knighted him "in secret" and like he's besties with Charles. Charles has a lot of flaws but he's an intellectual and academic. I'm sure he hates the bloviator.

an applicant country must demonstrate commitment to: democracy and democratic processes, including free and fair elections and representative legislatures; the rule of law and independence of the judiciary; good governance, including a well-trained public service and transparent public accounts; and protection of human rights, freedom of expression, and equality of opportunity
So given the present Trump "Administration", does the US qualify to join the Commonwealth of Nations?

But can you imagine if we were? The first damn thing the King would do after taking over the US is set up a British-style National Health System here in America, and Trump would lose his fucking mind.
