Astronaut's 'spaceship life' films become internet sensation – video

Colonel Chris Hadfield has made a series of videos that provide a glimpse into life aboard a spacecraft. The International Space Station astronaut can be seen playing guitar, having a haircut and making a sandwich in the films. The Canadian says he wants viewers to appreciate their habitat as 'one bubble of air that keeps us all alive, that we're responsible for'

(3,581 posts)He tweets several times/day with pictures of the world as seen from space, and gives little details about life on the ISS. He's a geek like we are; when William Shatner tweeted him, Hadfield answered in character as a subordinate of the great Captain James T. Kirk. How can you not love him?

I am pleased to transmit my personal best wishes, and those of all Canadians, to Colonel Christopher Hadfield as he takes command of the International Space Station on Wednesday. Our thoughts and best wishes are with him and the entire crew, as are our prayers for an eventual safe return to family, friends and fellow Canadians.
