Enough already about the sinking Trump campaign playing the theme song from “Titanic” at his rally in Bozeman, Montana, last night while filling time before his delayed arrival. And to make things even worse Celine Dion’s management team issued a statement Saturday slamming the “unauthorized” use of her singing “My Heart Will Go On.”
Let’s talk about the music warming up the crowd packing the Thomas & Mack basketball and concert arena in Las Vegas before Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris took the stage. First of all, there was DJ D-Nice getting the party going. with people standing up and dancing with their cellphones on flashlight mode. Before the event, D-Nice wrote on his Instagram page that he was “thrilled to support the Harris-Walz campaign in Las Vegas.
Music has always been a powerful force for unity, and I truly believe that just like music, their vision can bring our country together. Let’s create a harmonious future where everyone feels included and inspired.” D-Nice, who began his career in the mid-1980s with the hip-hop group Boogie Down Productions, was invited by Harris last September to her home in Washington, D.C. for a star-studded celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
The Reno Gazette Journal wrote: The inside of Thomas & Mack sports and concert arena is thumping with bass-heavy clips from monster hits by Michael Jackson, ABBA, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Queen, Madonna, Journey, Run-DMC with Aerosmith, Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar. When Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” played, DJ D-Nice would cut out the music so the crowd numbering well over 10,000 could sing along a cappella.
It’s Saturday, why not play the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive” from the film “Saturday Night Fever.”...
