Jared Kushner's private equity firm faces inquiry as it fails to return profits
Trump son-in-laws Affinity Partners fuels Senate suspicions of foreign influence-buying before US electionA private equity firm owned by Jared Kushner, Donald Trumps son-in-law, has been paid $157m in fees since 2021 without returning any profit to investors, according to a US Senate inquiry.
The finding from the Senate finance committee has fuelled suspicions that the Miami-based company, Affinity Partners, may be a foreign influence-buying operation established in anticipation of the former president returning to the White House.

He added: Affinitys investors may not be motivated by commercial considerations, but rather the opportunity to funnel foreign government money to members of President Trumps family, namely Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.

Private investment funds that take money exclusively from foreign politically exposed investors present heightened national security and other risks, he wrote. The US government has recently highlighted how the opacity and lightly regulated status of private funds can present risk to national security.

Data assembled by PitchBook, a private equity industry research firm, found that profit distributions are most common during a funds sixth and seventh years and Affinity has not reached this point. But PitchBook also found that most private equity firms started to pay at least some profits within 2.5 years.
Private equity firms like Affinity raise money from investors, then reinvest that capital into small, often not-yet-public companies they believe have a good chance to grow quickly or be run more efficiently. The hope is that those bets will generate enough return to eventually pay back the original investors with profits that far exceed the management fees.
As of the end of 2023 halfway through the five-year investment commitment that Saudi Arabia and the other foreign governments made to Mr. Kushner the firm had invested about $535 million of the $3 billion, with that total rising to about $1.1 billion as of July, according to the committee, citing information provided by Affinity.

The five-year deal with Affinitys backers gives the firm until August 2026 to find companies it wants to invest in, which would be nearly halfway through Mr. Trumps second term if he wins in November.

Now Kushner has already publicly stated that he thinks Gaza has good investment opportunities,
Jared Kushner says Gazas waterfront property could be very valuable
Donald Trumps son-in-law also says Israel should bulldoze an area of the Negev desert and move Palestinians there
Jared Kushner has praised the very valuable potential of Gazas waterfront property and suggested Israel should remove civilians while it cleans up the strip.
The former property dealer, married to Donald Trumps daughter Ivanka, made the comments in an interview at Harvard University on 15 February. The interview was posted on the YouTube channel of the Middle East Initiative, a program of Harvards Kennedy School of Government, earlier this month.
Kushner was a senior foreign policy adviser under Trumps presidency and was tasked with preparing a peace plan for the Middle East. Critics of the plan, which involved Israel striking normalisation deals with Gulf states, said it bypassed questions about the future for Palestinians.

So what are the odds that long time family friend; of Kushner, that being Netanyahu would ever listen to President Biden or Vice President Harris in calling for a ceasefire, and for Palestinian self-determination?
I believe Kushner is just waiting for the ongoing genocide or "cleaning up" of Gaza to conclude before he invests the bulk of journalist hating MBS' money.
These dynamics only help convicted felon *rump to regain power and that in turn would allow peace hating autocrat Netanyahu to do as he wishes and avoid corruption charges as well.
Netanyahu had long enabled Hamas to rule over Gaza and he recently assassinated the top Hamas peace negotiator for a ceasefire.
So I'm just wondering in the back of my mind whether Kushner via his "shadow diplomacy" under *rump's administration conspired with Netanyahu, *rump and MBS to activate, persuade or pressure Hamas to attack on October 7th setting up the excuse to start the genocide or "cleaning process of Gaza?"
If that hypothesis holds true the life of any Arab leader with knowledge of such would be at risk, and they had better save proof.
