The GOP Obituary

The Republican Party is Dead.

Take my word for it, as a lifetime conservative and registered Republican until 2016 when I left the party and registered instead as an Independent.

The old GOP is dead.

The real RINOs are all of these pretend Republicans today who have hijacked my former party where lies, fraud and immorality is not only tolerated but celebrated; lifted up to be candidate for the highest office in the nation. Someone who literally stole from a charity for children's cancer.

Some Republicans have finally confessed, like former consultant for Bush and Romney, Stuart Stevens, did in his book, It Was All a Lie. “All of these immutable truths turned out to be marketing slogans. None of it meant anything. I was the guy working for Bernie Madoff who actually thought we were really smart and just crushing the market.”

the Republicans put party before country and chose an authoritarian Strong Leader who was not committed to democracy to head their party because they realized that they could not win without him. They understood what they were doing. They were considering having a brokered convention to choose another candidate. Some of the senior Republican politicians refused to support Trump. For a democracy to be viable there must be at least two viable parties committed to democracy. The US is one party short. Unless the corporate 20% of Republicans can take control from the authoritarian 80%, or develop a viable new party committed to democracy, democracy in the US will be one election away from failure.

the antiquated Electoral College has given that party two nitwit presidents in recent history, and they have turned the Supreme Court into an extension of the GOP - so we are ALREADY failing
