After Trump's remarks on Gaza, some in Dearborn, Michigan 'think we screwed up'

Gee, ya think so?

Donald Trump won Dearborn, Michigan, a traditionally Democratic Arab American enclave, thanks largely to outrage over Kamala Harris and the Biden administration’s stance on Israel.

Some are starting to have regrets.

Arab Americans for Trump, a group that helped with campaign outreach, rebranded itself as Arab Americans for Peace in the hours after Trump said the U.S. would take ownership of Gaza.

If the shoe fits Dearborn MI and Arab Americans for Trump. You saw his first term, Muslim ban, why would you think he would change. He lied about bands of cheering Muslims on rooftops on 9/11.. he makes shit up, yet you support him. Again, There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain,"

7. Does the Democratic Party want these Arab-American voters for future elections?

There are a handful of elections and primaries in 2025 (there are a few others):

1 Apr: Florida holds two special elections for US House seats.
10 Jun: NJ holds its primary elections for gubernatorial and legislative races.
4 Nov: General elections in NJ, NY, PA, and VA.

In 2026, 33 of 100 US Senate seats will be contested.

I say enough schadenfreude and pissing on Arab-Americans. Let's get them, the Green Party, Communist Party of the US, Code Pink, you name it, into the big tent to fight Trumpf together.

And while they are critical of Trump, there is no universal feeling in Dearborn that Harris would have been any better.

“For those of us who voted against the Democratic Party, in whatever form that was … we understood that we would get this guy, and we understood that we would have to deal with this kind of stuff,” said Amer Zahr, a progressive activist in Dearborn. “But ultimately we don’t believe that we are to blame for this.

" we understood that we would have to deal with this kind of stuff" and "ultimately we don’t believe that we are to blame for this".

Taking the blame is the natural consequence of dealing with this kind of "stuff". Duh.

When "most" of the useful idiots who used Palestinians as the excuse to not vote for Kamala step forward with this admission, I may begin to believe their remorse is genuine.

Now sling your shit together, and help those of us who told you this was going to happen to mitigate the damage you helped cause.

Regrets don't do shit. Stob sobbing and get to work.

I just wonder what these people ever thought they could get by supporting Trump. An Arab-American supporting Trump is like a German Jew in 1938 supporting Hitler.
