GOP in SHAMBLES after second FAILED VOTE - Talking Feds

The far-right Republican from Ohio Jim Jordan lost a second attempt to become Speaker of the House in a vote earlier today. With 199 votes today, Jordan was just shy of the speakership by 18 votes — four Republicans who had initially voted for Jordan opted to vote against him today.

Jordan, as you may recall, contributed to the effort to overturn the 2020 election when he voted not to certify the results in Arizona and Pennsylvania. Thank you to Norm Ornstein for his expertise and context regarding the current state of the GOP! - 10/18/2023.
