I mix it up, using Spotify and YouTube. White noise, rain on car/roof/forest, etc. That and a sleep mask ensure a good night's rest.

I used to think it was silly but I find I miss it when we're somewhere else. When we were in Sanibel years ago we left the porch screens open so we could hear the real thing all night.

The ocean had a rhythm I liked, sort of like breathing in and out. Relaxing.

It mimics the human breathing pattern.
I like the sound of rain. It makes me feel cozy and secure.

usually get relief.
