In all the excitement, of the great ticket I had serious flooding in my house with this storm.

It's probably the worst since hurricane Ivan or Sandy.

It does seem there's going to be a lot of stuff thrown away, but I'll be optimistic and call it "decluttering."

A drain got clogged with debris; we have roads closed all over the place.

Hopefully most of the flooding was in the basement. If not, that perhaps it's receded by now, and most things will dry out. You do have a good attitude w/ this...calling it decluttering and perhaps a good time to get rid of some stuff.

I've, w/ the heavy rains we had in STLMO last year, flooding in the basement, but when I moved into the place 11 years ago, this happened back then, and thus, we were aware of the potential for flooding ever since then. And last year, it paid off, the flooding, while it did get into our basement (1/2 foot or so), it didn't damage anything, as everything was up off the floor a bit, and thus didn't get damaged or wet. Thank God for small miracles.

My best to you, hopefully the damages won't be too much.

but I feel every confidence that you will manage to find ways of improving things.

and while we normally can handle tropical rainstorms, it was like 48" of rain over a couple days where we are south of Houston. We were lucky we were ok in our neighborhood, then spent time helping everyone else.
