It happened in Mexico. Today people use it as a reminder to think positive about yourself.

1. The dog heard the Pope was named Francis

as in St. Francis of Assisi and wanted a blessing. Also this same Pope said animals souls go to heaven, when they die, when a little boy asked him, if he would see his dog again, who had just passed away, in heaven someday.

Of course the radical reich branch of the church had a fit at Pope Francis for saying it as they said only humans have a soul. Another reason I can't stand the jerks.

So you go little doggy.
