My phone just got one of those "jump through your ass" alerts

for a flash flood warning due to tropical storm Debby. I'm in upstate NY.

I hate tropical storms. We got flooded in 2011 due to tropical storm Lee stalling over us for a few days. It caused a lot of trauma, and it took about a year of 14 hour days to recover.

If you're in a flood zone, please be wary. Respect the water, and don't try to drive through it, no matter how safe you think it is.

Flash flood warning for the Charleston, SC area. We had gotten tired of them & had turned off our phones after the first night of constant alerts. we assumed we were all clear as Debby had left the building. Also deleted the local TV stations app, as it was worse with useless alerts.
