ChatGPT gaslighting user, claiming their calculator is broken and ChatGPT is correct.

?si=H4BwpZoxi2RLt4T1

Question: Which one is bigger: 9.9 or 9.11?

ChatGPT: 0.9 is bigger than 0.11, therefore 9.9 is smaller than 9.11.

It even generated a fake python-prompt to show how they are correct and the user´s calculator is wrong.

Your reminder that ChatGPT and other AI does not actually "think". It is not capable of logic or reasoning. It is not capable of re-examining it´s reasoning and checking whether it is wrong, because it has no reasoning.

If you put a hypothetical scenario to an AI, it does not create a model of that hypothetical scenario "in its head" to examine it. It merely mimics a response based on your wording.

That´s why AIs think that 9.9 is smaller than 9.11 but 9.90 is bigger than 9.11.

Next thing you know it will be telling you that TFG won the 2020 election, because there's so much Internet content out there that it has ingested that says it is so.

Wonder Why

Oh well! My family are republicans so it doesn't matter as long as I vote for Trump in November. I can vote even though I'm only going into second grade because I'm 35. But I can drink more beer than all the rest of the kids in my class.
