It's 4:41 pm at my house.

Why are all four of my cats within three feet of me, including the two that fight each other regularly? They don't get supper vittles until after 6 pm, so they have an hour and a half to go. They don't normally do this.

1. Sounds to me like they've unionized. Things around your place are going to improve for them!

4. Could be something going on outside. My dogs are the same way, they gather around me if they hear a crash or something

outside. Scares them and they all run to me.

5. These cats don't even flinch when there are thunderclaps during a storm.

We have two dogs that like to bark at the cats, and I have a screen door on my bedroom for ventilation that keeps the dogs out and the cats will just saunter up to the door with a barking dog on the other side and calmly hiss at the dog, then meander away apathetically like it's nothing. It's really funny to watch them do this.

6. That's where my doggies and yours differ. Mine are freaked out by thunder, come running to me immediately if they

hear hard raining, thunder, etc. That's okay w/ me, I don't mind it as I can't hear very well and they are welcome company. A little too needy at times, but that is part of the bargain between all of us. They help me and I help them.

9. Not real recently, had fasting bloodwork end of June.

Nothing special from the doc, so no changes in meds.
They aren't crowding me frequently, just about the time I posted they were all around me and it wasn't close enough to suppertime to expect it.
I know about cats and people who are in their last days. My sister in law had a cat that stayed around my mom for a couple of months before she passed.
