The story about how she went up and nuzzled a stranger who had just lost his dog was beautiful.

of knowing who needed love, even as a 7-week-old puppy. As a 180-pound adult, she didn’t leap into the air, but she did travel with me across country after a devastating Midwest tornado and went into schools to comfort children who had lost their homes and sometimes their parents.

Whenever she saw someone disabled or using a wheelchair, she’d gently approach them and sit down. So loving.

As with all my pets, I named her after a goddess. Paxton, for the goddess of peace, serenity, intelligence, and strength.

My saintly soulmate was taken way too soon, and I miss her every day.

Thank you for posting, Fla Dem, from another Florida Dem.
