What's with the "demure and mindful" craze?

It seems like every video I watch today has those two words in them. They're good words, but enough already !

makeup routine, explaining how he is “demure,” “very mindful.” For whatever reason, it resonated and has gone viral. Everyone is acting out their own “demure” and “mindful” activities.

I’m aware of mindfulness as a stress reduction technique, but “demure”?

Is that supposed to mean “egotistically humble”, or what?
