There's actual BLUE blotches on the radar, that means SNOW!!!
On the tip-tops for now, but if today is any indocator, we could very well at least have frost by morning!
climate change is real...and it can look like snow in August.
We got the tomato covered, and we'll bring her in to back porch if it freezes. She's a little roma plant and has more than a dozen little fruits!!!

(13,976 posts)Been here since 92. The last 5 years alone have not acted like "normal" IMO. Hotter than usual (we never used to see 90 degree days, and never more than one in a row) and not as much late Summer rain. I remember you could set your watch by the afternoon monsoons in Aug-Sept!
And dont get me started on winter, after that BLOWOUT in 22/23 (what was it, 90 feet or something crazy like that?).
I feel like all bets are off now... we could get a foot of snow before Halloween...anything is fuckin possible!

(13,976 posts)My wife is from GA and thinks snow is AWESOME. I'm the opposite. She hates the heat, I LOVE it.
Last time she had back surgery was October 2022 ... it literally started snowing like a week later and never stopped.
This September, she's got neck surgery. It's supposed to be 80. LOL
...but knowing MY luck, the "jinx of the spinal surgery" will bring snow very soon... :yoinks:

Just found a great local guy for the stairs/deck...and what's cool is he's actually assigned to our neighborhood for plowing, so he makes sure to keep our driveway pretty nice too!
