re my last post

talked to a neghibor down the hall. if neigbor down below me disturbs me after ten ,goto his apartment to tell him to knok it off . if continue call police . we have no manager and they were no help anyway.
however . a 415 disturbing the peace can be issued any time .thus he police department will use codes so officers can better prepare for situations while en route. They can also help during stakeouts. For example, 415 is the police code for a suspected disturbance of the peace.Mar 3, 2024

Is it music, television, parties or he is just plain loud always shouting etc. I wish you had another neighbor to go with you when you approach him. He may be very nice and just not realize that his apartment isn't soundproof, or he may just not care and could be belligerent. But again, is there a male neighbor who you are friends with that maybe would go with you?

How about recording his noise harassment a couple of times. Then if you go to building management or the police, you'll have proof of his harassment.

I know you said you would not go to the building manager. But I think you should at least report the guy to him. That may be the 1st question the police ask you if you report him.

The police question...... "Well, have you contacted the building manager about him?" When you say no, they may just say, "Report it to him first."

I don't know, just thinking it through. I really don't want to give you advice, OTOH, I also don't like to hear you're being harassed without trying to think of a way for you to get the issue addressed.

You obviously know the building manager better than me and what his reaction will be, but I would take that step first just to make sure I covered all the bases.

All the best to you Alla.
