I hate having to post this. (Update)

Better to say something now, than have it be an unwelcome surprise on Sunday. My laptop is giving me fits. Pages not loading, slow when they do. Locking up even for short breaks of inactivity. I've been through this before, and it always rebounds after a spell like this. Hopeful it will, but I felt it needed to be shared here just in case. Cross your fingers for me kplz.

It turns out I had updates, after the first batch of updates, AND the updates that loaded after I had to cold start the laptop. All seems well now. Thank you all for indulging my Nervous Purvis moments. All seems well for now.

try using an adblocking browser such as Brave or Firefox Focus

another version of adblocking is to use a

hosts.txt

file which is loaded with a long list of
blockable sites.

these can work if the problem is the internet and not your laptop
