We had one offer but it was way too low. We’ve owed on the mortgage for a long time. We’re lucky to still be in the house. So we need close to the sale price. Business has really slowed down but the real estate agent said it is like that all around in September and October. Thanks for asking, Deb!

I really don’t want mom to go another day.

It’s only a few miles but fares are high and we literally just have a couple dollars. Walking is not an option on that road with no side area. I have looked into the PA Department of Aging ride share program and must wait for the application. Could be an option later. No good neighbors or friends or family to help.

I’m afraid this is a dilemma your mother has to handle. It’s her social worker.

You’ve said before you live in a suburban neighborhood. I’m really sorry to say this, but….there’s zero chance that a neighbor, knowing your mother’s dire need for a ride a few miles, wouldn’t help.

Have your mother knock on your neighbor’s doors. Explain the situation. One of them will help. Neighborhoods are like that.

Mom did not sleep at all. I have tried other means to get over there and back and it’s terribly frustrating not being able to.. we live a very stressful life and mom has no pills. I wish I could convey how sad this situation is making me.

The PA Dept of Vocational Ed can train and place you in a wfh job. Have you ever worked? Dont you want your own Social Security at age 67? Have you thought of that? If you start now, you'll get a solid 20 yrs in and get your quarters in.
