If Eagles can see more colors than a human, how could we know what colors they see that we don't?

2. There are humans who see more colors than most people.

I only know this cuz I while I was writing a sci-fi short story about a character who could see more colors than most people, I discovered there are actually people who can. It's called tetrachromacy.

But how we know what eagles see or how they perceive it is beyond me. Someone posted this article on dogs noses & how they smell things & it's fascinating but again, how do we know, really?

5. "More colors" is probably an inaccurate way to describe it...

They may have a wider spectrum of vision, probably into the infrared range. That would help them spot temperature contrasts of prey against the background earth or vegetation.

We can never know what they "look" like to an eagle, but we can know they exist.
