(93,787 posts)Kind of tractor you're in, size of furry K-9 would need consideration!
I'm glad you have Dunc, you're an inseparable pair! Unconditional love is hard to match.
Never drove one of those, there weren't very many of them around when I was out there. Are they roomy?

(13,852 posts)Only thing has me thinking is remember in manuals keeping it in gear less power to drives in bad weather may swap out to fleet manual for winter
Reasons
Eisenhower in Colorado or truckee or just weather in general trying bust trail especially in snow you know
And we got two sets shiny brand new chains and theyll be shiny and new still come spring.
We paid all miles and worse case instead of 80 straight 76 to 70 Oklahoma turnpike to 40 and up or even run 10 and up 5 in Cali and same on way out
386 miles more to keep to get out and back I hate sitting waiting for roads open

(93,787 posts)An automatic either! I won my buckle wrangling twin sticks in the Rockies! And I still have knuckles!
Roomy is good! I don't like the giant windshields in those conv/cabover hybrids, tough. I felt like other people outside the truck could see up my skirt, and I did wear one on occasion. Those nasty GMC cabovers they used to have back in the 80s were the worst. Hell, I'd take a beat up old corn binder over one of those death traps. But I digress...
I would not want to even try to drive an automatic in winter, I'd rather be in total control of how the wheels turn and how the brakes work. Manual is my favorite but takes a lot more work.
Waiting for loads is the worst, especially in Calif. That place seems to think that trucks should simply materialize at pick up and drop off points and not exist anywhere else.
Enjoy your time out!

(35,287 posts)She is afraid of any vehicle with 4 or more wheels. You would have to stop every 10 miles to wring out the drool.
She says nope, no way all that driving, not even for pizza.
Enjoy your walk today! Looks nice out there but kinda cold.
