Doing a job for a customer today while he was swapping in some old style storm windows.

"Been putting it off," he said as he was heading to the garage, "but I guess I gotta do it."

"Pane management is important," I said.

He made a noise of agreement and continued on, then returned in a moment or two.

"That was terrible," he said.

But my family lovvveesss them.

Let’s see, we put an offer in on a lovely mid-century ranch. Inspection was yesterday and the roof leaks & there’s mold bc the roof leaked. Few other things, we first renegotiated, then my husband got cold feet & backed out. Which I understand.
Agent is saying to my husband that the earnest money down, we get back. I SWEAR neither of us wrote a check. Was waiting to be asked.
She’s checking into it. At first my husband was like “I don’t remember that, but I’m kinda tired”. Omg.
So I’m hoping he didn’t write a check he doesn’t remember, not bc we won’t get it back, but for the sake of no-check-writing-while-tired-please.

5. so Caesarian kind of rhymes with Venestran...er maybe...heh...

So these rhyming things go on and on round and round in my head for years and years and I come up with some interesting connections so Venestran seems sort of like Fenetra which is a window in French (one of the first and also one of the only things I learned taking 4 years of French classes was "Ferme la fenetra" which means "Close the window&quot ...

And then there was this book called Looking at Ocean or something like that and translated to French it was something like "Window to Ocean" and there is a town in France near the coast of Brittany called Fenetra or Fenestra...

I kept thinking I might want to go live there someday...

I met my future husband and we talked about where we might want to live if we went across the sea and thought about maybe Ireland or maybe France...

And I kept thinking of that town in France...

I also did (and knew quite a bit about) genealogy and I am a big part Irish and also a big part French. I'm partly Cornish too and my husband is part Irish also. I told him that I also thought that he was a lot Welsh (and we found out later that is true as well and so am I too)...

So I kept thinking about Fenestra as I said and then lo and behold we came across his great grandpa with the middle name (often a last name in disguise) of Venestran and I kept thinking about that name and a little bit later we came across another of his grandparents with the last name of Vanorstrand (or rather Van Ordstrand) and there is an island off the coast of Norway called that so...AH HA!!!

I shouted out to him ~ hey I know what that means that's a WINDOW to OCEAN!!!

I've got it - I know what it means - whoo hoo!

I shouted again to him ~ I know what Vanestran means - Yay!!!

So anyway maybe this is a good story...

And Ceasarian and Fenetra mean an opening / a cut open to make a window...

- and Van Ordstrand island was CUT OFF from Norway a big something happened and it literally FELL off into the ocean...
