Then look up on the internet to see if a collector's antique value exists.

He had five years in working for Cal in 1974.

He left Moore's sometime before that.

His 20 years was maybe from 1945-1965 I think.

Searching for any keywords. If it’s a local company you might try the museum. Are there any flea markets around. I’d suggest they don’t sell but sometimes the vendors will help you out. There’s medallion forum online that could help. A lot of options. If you know the company name search for it and medallion, service award, etc..

Gold is at $2,711.38 per ounce now. I just checked. I worked as a union printer for 15 years, 1971-1986. The International Typographical Union. I didn't get any gold, though. Who gave him the medal? Was it the union, or his employer?

Moore Business Forms.

They were located in Emeryville, CA when he worked for them.

I believe he was in the San Francisco (or was it Oakland?) Typographical Union.

He ended up losing that job and got picked up as the head printer for Cal Berkeley on Oxford Street. I remember going to visit him with a college girlfriend at his job in 1974.

and it has what looks like a small red ruby on it!

I also found his "Semper Fidelis" from the Marine Corps!
Wow again.

This is a small treasure trove I have located!
