music, movies, love life??? I loved the music of the 70s, dont remember much else......just graduated from high school in 1969. and no jokes about that......seriously. I only loved the music back then. I dont really remember much else, oh wait, Vietnam.....ugh, I did march quite often against that damn war. Was married, and divorced in 4 years....dont really remember much else, oh one of my favorite friends at work was a Black woman with an Afro hair style that made me, ol whitie get a type of Afro too. 🥰 loved it. Had my first joint, love it, and smoke a bowl or two today.......only on weekends. Other then that I really dont remember much of the 70s.

(69,859 posts)I was in my mid 20s to mid 30s, my career had solidified, I moved into management, I was playing in some VERY active bands.
I'd play 2 or nights, get home Sunday morning at 4am, still easily be at work by 7 on Monday. Loads of energy.
I was in much better shape, could still play basketball, and our social life was full.
90s were still good & very active, but in the 80s I wasn't yet traveling intensely for work. It was a fun period.

(32,069 posts)Sounded like you had a great life, hope its still the case, and good shape??? me too back then, not like today...

(69,859 posts)...nothing like back then. I was slim (37" chest/29" waist). I'm not shaped like that anymore!
I could play rec league basketball & not start sweating until I was on the floor 10 minutes.
I think it would take 10 seconds now. But, healthwise I'm ok. Or so I think!

(39,836 posts)Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Hollies, Tremelos, Lulu and Motown. Black light posters. Fell hard in love for the first time. Lived in a dorm as a freshman on an Air Force Base in England. Class of 72. In my freshman yearbook (68-69) a popular Senior Coed (Class of 69) wrote, Youre kinda cute for a freshmen, kinda too cute. That still does it to me to this day. Whenever I think of that short period in my life Im in a happy place. Had lots of good times, but that was the best.

(39,836 posts)From early 60s through the 70s. I think somewhat seamless but the seams started unraveling in the 80s. I do appreciate Sirius XM. Pick an oldies channel, push a button.
In 69 there was about 50 pounds less of me but I did have a full head of hair back then. My wife of 50 years still thinks Im cute, wrinkles and all. Great topic, thanks for the memories.
