My nephew and his wife just became

Ordained ministers so they can marry marginalized people. Very proud of them for many reasons!

Ordained by who? Liberal churches still usually require ministers have an advanced degree, a masters from a credentialed seminary at least. This sounds like they just announced they’d been ordained when really, they’ve just become professional Celebrants who are much more like Justices of the Peace than ordained ministers.
