I love his work after the Beatles split up. I've always called him both a Poet & a Prophet. And I was glad when he & Yoko 'found' each other. I mourned when he was murdered.

(69,852 posts)The most versatile player & he saw (along with George Martin) the big picture musically.
He gets ridiculously slagged for "silly love songs" but he did some profoundly deep stiff.
George was the best guitar player, but Paul was pretty good too.
I like his voice the best as well.
All that said, 2 of my 10 favorite Beatles songs were written & sung by George.
