I think I have the equivalent of writer's block.

I can't think of a damn thing to post.

It's been like that for a few days now.

So, I've been posting songs.

This is not a good feeling.

I need someone to boot me in the ass or something to snap me out of this.

Some people are in shock and/or depressed.
Or too angry to say anything.

Just let yourself be for the time being.

I was a therapist for over 40 years, and some times you have to be gentle
and let people be where they need to be.

Other times you have to know when to kick some ass and drag them out of the holes
they have dug for themselves, or out of harm's way.

Right now most of us are in shock and quite afraid.
We don't know what our lives will be like for the next four years.
A lot is at risk, finances, medical, housing, family safety, etc.
This is probably what we should be thinking about and taking survival action.

So I think it is time to be gentle and not press too hard.

Seriously, I am probably drinking more and enjoying it less. Mainly, as a seditive so I can sleep without lying in bed for hours, wondering how many ways this Country is going to be fucked up over the next 4 years.

I've been binging 10 years worth of spooks ( on season 6 now)....just not interested in watching new shows that can no longer be honest in this Country's transformation into another Trump nightmare.

Worrying about how bad it is going to be over the next four years.

Yes watching all the insanity unfolding in front of us while the media sane washes it
and people go about their lives like nothing has happened.

Like you, I just didn't enjoy it as much, so I just stopped, and that was that.

I've been watching TV Land, if I turn the TV on at all, which I've been doing much less of since the election.

I can sense a general depression throughout DU, and I think that's why it's difficult for me to joke around.

Not an election where policy ideas proved the difference, but a country that seems to what to live in "Idontgiveafuckistan".
