We are facing our darkest hour

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Omaha Steve (a host of the The DU Lounge forum).

Did America give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

I don't know what to do and I'm not in favor of tacitly approving of our possibility of giving up without a fight.

Long story, but my position in life leaves little I can offer.

Events have to transpire; conditions and opinions have to change.
There will be an answer to the trumpists. It may be "assymetric", but it will happen.
When the time comes, everyone in EVERY position in life will have something to offer the cause.

Think. Again.

I guess right now we are (rightfully) in "duck and cover" mode.

Except for a couple of people our Democratic leaders have been very quiet. Until today when several of them decided to complain about President Biden pardoning Hunter. Now there are all sorts of voices, negative voices.
I’m tired, I’m discouraged, I’m scared, but I never thought leaders of my party would add to those feelings. I’m feeling very let down, abandoned almost. It feels like every man or woman for themselves.

The Germans didn't attack Pearl Harbor that I recall.
