... that read, "LAST CHANCE to send in your dollar!" Those few words, and the address to send your dollar to, were the entire ad. The guy who ran the ad got a lot of dollars mailed to him. He, of course, didn't give anything in return to his many one-dollar donors. As I recall, there was a court case that he won, because he didn't promise anything in the ad, and so the law couldn't touch him.
