how many of u saw this in theaters ? i finaly saw it in full on a dvd. mind blowing. when the ship rotates , my jaw drops . i also like the final landing sequence when all the communications lights go on as if someone is throwing rows of switches .

And forgot how excellent movie it was and the cinematography was awesome!

In my local theater this summer on the 45th anniversary of the original showing. It was fantastic. A TV doesn't do it justice.

Saw it when it first came out in 1977. I was awe struck by the special effects, particularly at the end of the film. Even watching it today, the special effects are amazing.
