Mister Ed
(6,412 posts)I imagined all sorts of mayhem that I could bring about as a mad scientist. Maybe that's why Santa thought it unwise to bring me one.

(17 posts)all the really fun stuff has been taken out. You know, the stuff that might go boom or burn something. My dad had a chemical engineering degree (never used it) and he would buy me almost anything I was curious about to play with. Drove my mom nuts.

(107,149 posts)I know a lot of people take these kind of things for granted, but there are a lot like my family who just couldn't afford such things.
I eventually bought one for myself when I was old enough for a part-time job. Probably better, any way.
