4. I was stuck in a small traffic jam on a two-lane road that ran by a lake....

and when I got finally reached the center of the jam, I saw what was holding up the traffic. A female mallard had been hit and killed by a car, and her mate was standing over her and would not move. He ignored the horns blowing and people shouting. Cars had to go into the other lane to go by.
