The cafeteria food (and I got a discount in the cafeteria) was good. Their Italian Wedding Soup was especially nice.

... for my meal.

The news is something like a hell scape.

Trump is shutting down the N.I.H.'s work on the C-19 virus in a move that has a high potential killing or making Iĺl millions of
people in an act of cruelty and scientifically
proven ignorance.

the two I have been in most recently (last decade or so) were vastly different. larger one had GOOD food and menu choice capabilities, the smaller one had pretty bad food the first stay and somewhat improved the next couple stays but still not great and no choice.

for two nights for a bad case of vertigo. The hospital food was a bit bland but that's understandable considering they can't use the same spices for every patient. I did have a bowl of soup, I can;'t remember the name of, I never had before and it was good. Other than that, I don't think anyone will gain weight on hospital patient food.

Let me explain.

Back in 1980 I had a horrible car accident, and had to be fed intravenously for a couple weeks.

I was given my first meal, cream of celery soup, and it was wonderful.
(Yes, the deprivation was a major factor.)

11. Their cafeteria made awesome stuffed portabella mushrooms, and a decent curried chicken/veg dish.

Patient food was fairly good. I don't think they thought too much about dietary restrictions. My brother and I both are diabetic. I would self regulate my carbs when I ordered a meal. My brother is another story and he's in there now. His meal last night was apple juice, plate of spaghetti with 1 meatball, italian roll, fruit cup, 1/2 c. mixed veg, and ice cream, with an insulin top off.

I can't confirm that and I'm hoping I never get the opportunity to do so. So, I remain skeptical.
