Progressive Living Rallying Cry

Global warming presents an opportunity for humanity to adjust the way we live upon the earth. The crisis is confronting us even when we turn on the TV and see news of another unusual natural disaster, or when our friends in the neighboring town experience hail the size of baseballs...

Yet, Mother Nature has been gentle, if you consider the tens of thousands of species gone extinct while humanity thrives. Each animal gone forever represents a non intrusive voice reminding us that the path we are on is causing harm to living systems that we depend on.

For thousands of years, Indigenous world-view has also been the meek voice for civilization to never forget that we are all children of Mother Earth. Our decision to listen to this voice depends on how serious is the situation we face.

Remember on Apollo 13 when the crew at Huston had to find a way to save the life of three astronauts floating helplessly out in space with a wounded space-craft? They used every item at their disposal on the damaged shuttle in order to save their lives. Perhaps we are at this point, where every world-view humanity has experienced will have something to offer to help restore the earth. Indigenous world-view offers the prophecy of the Rainbow Warriors and their rallying cry toward a new economy of civilization based on the weaving of human identity into our ecosystems...

Who are the Warriors? Come and see...

You might want to check this out too!

http://thesparkfilm.com/ - It's a film, and much more than a film, it’s a social action campaign for sustainability.

“50 million Americans live in poverty, while our government stalls behind party lines. How can we break the cycle? The Spark shows a blueprint for realistic, immediate solutions. We follow two rogue pioneers —Dr. Marcin Jakubowski and Nat Turner—whose audacious thinking and radical community empowerment may raise the scaffold of a new American evolution: a healthy, fair, honest culture."

Here’s the trailer -

- Epic goodness!
