BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Warren County is the first county in the Commonwealth and the nation to become a right to work county.

Warren County wasn't going to wait for a state or federal law, they took measures into their own hands.

Fiscal Court approved a right to work ordinance on the first reading Thursday morning with a vote of 5-1, democrat Tommy Hunt was the lone magistrate against it.

In an issue that usually has democrats lined up against it, democrat Dan Rudloff voted in favor of it.

Right-to-work is supposedly about the worker's choice on paying dues to a union.

What it actually does is impede collective bargaining, eliminate financial support for the political entities which support labor interests, and help suppress wages and benefits paid by the bosses (which of course puts more money in their pockets and allows them unfettered access to political entities which support their interests which seem to be the accumulation of more and more personal wealth).
