To all members of this group, I'm thinking of you.
Although I'm no longer in the business and have not been for years, I still appreciate how hard you all work.
May I wish all members a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.
May you find a real goodie that makes makes up for the things that didn't turn out has you thought.
Hope to see more posts here, been quiet as of late. I still check here every day...as well as stop at every antiques shop and thrift store on my way to 'wherever'. I'm still looking for my one real treasure...who knows, maybe tomorrow.

(34,093 posts)Haven't posted lately, but been very busy and lucky lately. Helped a lawyer settle and estate for a large collection. Have enough stuff to keep my booth full all winter. Too many items to list. Some highlights. A couple of patent models from the 1800s, some military stuff, car stuff, old locks and paper. One day this week I sold a little over $900 from my booth and home, best day I've ever had. I even bought a vehicle I plan to flip. Every one was happy, the trustee for the estate, the buyers and me.

(51,054 posts)This is the quiet time of the year in my neck of the woods. I'm suffering from Saturday morning yard sale withdrawal.

(34,093 posts)hand pump. 6 feet tall with nice faded paint, perfect for yard art. Best part is I found it at a large antique mall for $28.70. That was a better price than I usually pay at yard sales.

(51,054 posts)I always seem to find the best things when I'm not really looking for them so it wasn't a surprise.

(34,093 posts)I would have paid twice that for it and most of the things in that booth are price high.

(50,130 posts)I hope your weather is more moderate this winter. I think about you out on that strip of land where Nor'easters rage. Be warm!
