Anyone know anything about Hook kitchenware?

I recently bought a few pieces of Hook ceramic kitchenware - a set of bowls and a casserole. I don't think they're worth much more than I paid for them (which wasn't much) and I bought them to use, but I'm trying to find out a little more about the company. So far, searching hasn't been much help, because no matter how I redefine my terms, if I include "Hook," I get useless results for hooks, not a company.

Hall isn't worth a whole lot. About 2 years ago it was bought by the Homer Laughlin (they make Fiesta Ware), in West Virginia. Fiesta Ware has a huge tent sale twice a year, and last year Hall had a small tent selling a number of their different items. I've bought kitchen salt & pepper shakers for $2, a pitcher for $3, etc. Hall does make some nice things, but they've never been seen to be on the cutting edge of design.

6. Right in line with what I paid for the pieces I got

I didn't suspect they were valuable - I had just never heard of Hall before. I find Fiesta Ware to be ghastly, myself; but I'm in an obvious minority (leaving me with the inexpensive stuff!).

I found out that one of the pieces is from the 20s and the other is about 1965.

7. According to my Hall book the ribbed bowl is from the 1930's.

Some pieces of Hall can be worth quite a bit. I sold a World's Fair teapot about 10 years ago for nearly a thousand dollars.

I think the glaze on those bowls I posted is lovely (why I bought them) and I bought the covered casserole because I needed a covered ceramic casserole and that was the only one I could find! Paying $3.00 for it didn't hurt any, either

In doing some research, I saw some of the teapots and wow, some are just gorgeous. I ended up with a teapot collection by mistake when mine started leaking; the first replacement was too small; the next too big; then I got one because it was so cool and now I have a lot of teapots

10. We like Hartstone Pottery teapots for use.

I've also got a bunch of different Hartstone mugs that I love. One of my best yard sale finds was a set of 6 new Hartstone mugs for $5. They're the perfect size and weight. The older ones with the impressed mark have a better "feel" for some reason. I did buy one teapot off ebay that must have been a second because it sort of dribbled and didn't pour right. It's weird. I just checked the Hartstone Pottery site and there doesn't seem to be a teapot on there. Plenty on ebay, though.
