Hi Everyone, quiet in there here parts. What is going on?

I'm long retired from the biz but I still check daily to see what you all have to say. Been too quiet! I hope things are going well. This old timer is trying to find buyers for some of the stuff I have had for years. Very slow going. Where is everyone, Ikea?

Wait until they try to sell that stuff! Makes me laugh just to think about it. Same thoughts occur to me when I think about the customers that bought all that pine container stuff in the '70's and 80's. Made me cringe when I went into a shop that was selling that stuff.

What say you? Hope the season is great!
Hotter than Hades in my neck of the woods.
Keep posting, even if it is just to keep in touch and laugh a little!

Seems everyone is dying, moving to assisted living or just downsizing.

Selling is a different story.

Got to get really cool stuff and sell it cheaper than everyone else.

Still having fun and making a few bucks.

It seems true antique lovers are a dying breed. I've been doing okay with mid-century stuff, sports memorabilia and kiddy dinnerware like Wedgwood's Peter Rabbit line. Overall, the summer has been a bit of a disappointment for finds. There has been a whole lot of overpricing at yard sales.
