Finally eBaying some stuff around the house now

When I got my new iPad Mini 3 on a whim I decided to try selling my old iPad second generation on eBay. It still ran but was having problems syncing, it couldn't keep a connection. Plus it wouldn't charge above 11%. (Yes I made sure to specify that it wasn't working all that great in the listing). I figured if it sold great if it didn't then there was always the recycling box at Best Buy. I listed it for $16 figuring there wouldn't be any bids or if there were it would either sell for $16 or a little over that. (I was making the buyer pay shipping). By the time it was done it had gotten up close to $70.

Trying to eBay off some other stuff now that's laying around the house collecting dust. I wish I had done this sooner - it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Only problem is someone - probably my maternal unit - had come around and made all the boxes I was saving to use with presents and stuff like this magically disappear. Which meant trips to Staples to get new boxes.

Your neighborhood Post Office has several sizes of flat rate boxes for free:
(all sizes approximate)

Small: 8.5 * 5.5 * 1.5 ($5.25 postage)

Medium: 11 * 8.5 * 5.5 or 13.5 * 12 * 3.5 ($11.30 postage)

Large: 12 * 12 * 5.5 ($15.80 postage)

I find the flat rate shipping to be reasonably priced

on edit: all prices include free $50 insurance

In addition to all the usual now collectible and valuable stuff, I also had a portfolio of black and white photographs taken by a long lost relative who worked at a paper in England as well as an original ticket to their first concert at Shea Stadium. Damn maternal units.
