These are the pieces:
7- 6.25” saucers
10- 6.25” plates
12- 10” plates
12- 7.5” plates
12- 8” bowls
4- 6” bowls
1- creamer
1- cup
1- sugar bowl lid
1 - 9” tray
2 - 13” trays/ bowls
1- 18” tray
1- tureen lid
1- tureen
The china is in excellent shape. The creamer has a chip but that is all.

This china was used only once a year if that. All of the pieces were not used each time.

My Daddy got this china for my Mama sometime in the early 1950s. He fought in WWII. He ran the family farm when he got back. After his siblings were out of high school, he got married. He took a job with a new insurance company and worked there for 30 years. This china says “Made in Occupied Japan” It also has the word “Norleans” on it.
This link will take you to a short history of the Japanese china industry. Meito was founded when a man split from the Nagoya Seito Sho company which made the Noritake china patterns. This happened in the early 1900s. This company still makes china today.

I am interested in purchasing Meito dinner plates and soup bowls. I have most of an entire set already. My parents have a similar story. It was my mother’s wedding china, some pieces were lost in an earthquake and I would like to replace them.

You might consider selling single pieces for those looking to replace what they’ve broken. That is, if you still have the set.
