Quick question. Has anyone ever used Wenol metal polish on glass? I love the stuff for metals, it is fantastic to remove scratches from any metal.
Just bought a great scalloped edge Heisey bowl with a million minute scratches on the inside from serving spoons. I would like to try Wenol.

I used Nevr-Dull with no results. Don't know what to try to make it look better.

Ant thoughts?

1. I've never heard of Wenol polish. Do you get it at the grocery store or a hardware store?

Let us know if you try it and it works on glass. I'm always on the lookout for Heisey since the veterinarian likes it and a good piece could mean a good barter.

2. Hi Vinca, about Wenol...

Best stuff for polishing and restoring a shine of most metal surfaces. (Not anodized aluminum or painted surfaces.) It is spread evenly and lightly on the surface to be polished, then buffed with a soft cloth.
I use it for brass and silver. I spread s small bit on the surface and buff the heck out of it.
I polish any metal with the appropriate polish then use Wenol over the item that had been polished, washed and dried.
It is like miracle stuff to remove minute scratches. Silver looks like new. Will not remove deep scratches.They say to wipe it on with a cloth, I use my fingers rather then have the polish absorb into the cloth.

I also save the polishing cloths(a 6X6 inch of flannel). Use an old diaper for final buff. Very easy to use.
Years ago I could get it at a hardware store but it is now available on Amazon. It costs..but a tube lasts forever. Next time I will buy 2 tubes as I have used it a lot lately.

Costs about $8.00 for a 3+ ounce tube. Other sellers have it posted at a lower price. I tried it on the bowl. No luck.
There are other polishes out there but I like this one the best. Everyone should have a tube with their cleaning supplies. Great for polishing gold and silver jewelry too.
An old toothbrush is great for removing any left over Wenol in cracks and crevices.

4. Clean with almost anything, shine with Wenol.

If you have silver plate and it is not worn to base metal, works great for that too.
