Been doing good buying and selling records lately.
Bought a collection yesterday, about 60 for $20. They were price at a buck apiece and I offered $20 for all. He was happy to get rid of them all. I priced 33 of them for just over a hundred total and will donate the rest to Goodwill. Priced them for a half or less than sold eBay prices.
I love to offer a price for the whole lot on many items. A few weeks ago, found a box of old cameras and offered $20 for all. Sold everyone I put out, about half of them for $43 and sold everyone of them. Just put the rest out. Seems people are really happy to sell a whole group than trying to piece them out.

Of course, they always have to worry that buried in the pile is a Mickey Mantle rookie card or other treasures.

(34,093 posts)I've bought collection after looking at a dozen or so to see how they were kept and used. Of course I look for 60s thru 80s rock, jazz and blues, only because I know a little about those artist.
After a day or two and only selling 4 or 5 they seem happy to see em all go $20 to $40.

I've had some great finds at Goodwill and the Re-store store. But, I've found a watch for a dollar that I sold on eBay for $400 at a yard sale. I do donate lots of items.

(34,093 posts)About $30 and up for the new ones. This has boosted the price on good condition records. I like vintage stereo equipment. Sounds a lot different than the new stuff. I have a 1973 amp/tuner and it sounds great. Always on the look out for tube amps, but are hard to find.
