Just sold my 1000th item from my booth!

Keep in mind that everything i put in the booth has been paid for. If we bought lots, we'd sell something from the lot to pay for the whole lot. We donated many things over the years, for whatever reason. I've always felt like a caretaker or crossroads. If someone fell in love with something we had on display, we didn't mind gifting it. We stopped buying things in 2016, when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away in 2017. For several reasons, a lot of the things we owned were wrapped up in storage. During the Covid lockdown, I started sorting, started getting an idea of how to manage the overwhelming amount of stuff. I sold 4 large lots of things to 3 dealers, which helped, but truthfully, not much. By 2022, I was pretty satisfied with knowing what I need and want to keep, and what I need, want to sell or give away. Right before he was diagnosed, my husband bought the contents of a lady's garage. Even after all this time, I have not unwrapped all of those boxes. It took 3 of us 5 days to wrap and pack, so I have no idea what's in some of the boxes.
I knew we were getting close last month. I bought an in-store gift certificate to give to the person who would buy the 1000th item. I made arrangements with the manager to flag my sales when we got close, and give the buyer the gift certificate. My sales persona thought this would be a good gimmick to help all the vendors, but ended up just being my way of celebrating with the buyer.
Anyway, today is a day to celebrate a milestone, and look forward to the next 1000 sales Yes, in spite of selling lots, in spite of the success of Grandma's Sitting Room, we have barely dented the storage So back to work!

Kanawha River which goes up to the Ohio River. I might have done my last Gauley raft trip.
It is an ass kicker. 6 or 7 class 5 rapids…. By one rapid called “Sweet’s Falls,” the locals line
up to watch us dumb asses crash and burn. You can hear the crowd start to hoot & holler as
the raft you were on flips. More fun to look back on then when it is happening to you in real
live time. The River is strong.

It ran beside us as we were headed for the New River. I know a few people who rafted on the Gauley and now I know another.
Our guide was a young woman over 6 ft. tall, with long black hair. We went through one set of rapids and the whole back of the raft, where she was sitting, got sucked under the water. My husband was astounded, especially when she popped right back up and got right back to yelling at us to 'dig, dig, DIG!' YES, ma'am!

not charged. Got a good idea of my sales to other dealers. Always close to 75%.

Got out of the mall Jan 1. It was a 110 mile round trip. A new mall opened only 6 miles away and they do consignments for 25%. Way better deal for me. Besides rent, the old place also added a 7% charge.

That round trip added a lot to your expenses I bet. The place I'm in is across town, but not too bad. It is in an old furniture store, and next door to an established Good Will

Hope you have good luck with your sales!
