Fixed up the ole china cabinet.
Hung a double fixture, 48 inch black light on top and then loaded it up with vaseline glass. Wow.
The best seem to be the cheaper (tiffin) satin vaseline pieces. The translucent ones don't seem as bright.

(34,093 posts)Saw lots of pictures on etsy.com that gave me the idea. You can get the idea by looking there under vaseline glass.
Was a lot cheaper than filling it up with nice plates and crystal. Paid between $4 and $55 per piece. $18 for the standard fixture and $12 apiece for the 2 bulbs. Have two stretch bowls, the most expensive, a couple of toothpicks, a covered candy dish and an ashtray, a perfume and a few vases. May add 3 or 4 more.

(26,117 posts)I have a mahogany curio from the 20s (a family piece), but there's no light inside, of course.
I also have it crammed with collectibles - but no Vaseline glass.
Here's a crappy photo:

(26,117 posts)Can you tell me anything about the doll in the purple chair? Is she from the '20s, maybe?
Someday, I want to get a Tinyette, but they're spendy.
