I truly enjoyed American Picker episodes from Italy.

Two episodes last night.

It wasn't all rust and raunch. Mike and Frank went to some very very cool places and found some real treasures.

My favorite: the cast iron "harpy" figure with beautiful female head, and the feet of a bird.

Their interpreter was hilarious.

More episodes from abroad next week.

I was afraid they were quitting the show, since the last couple of weeks have been reruns. One of my favorite shows, and I don't watch much TV.

....what we see in US? I remember one time in Paris, I had a chance to go to one of the huge antique markets where everything from furniture to buttons were seen, and stuff I saw were so interesting and different, nothing like our antique malls. Of course, the people I was with, indulged my shopping for only a couple of hours, as they weren't interested, so we had to go on. I could have spent a week in that spot. I don't think I bought anything. Things seemed very expensive, probably the retail end of "picking"! You would need to have inside contacts as Mike and Frank do, to really find the good buys.

....oppose them going overseas to pick for a show. "It's American Pickers, just stay home!"

And a surprising number also have to make a choice between Picker and Duck Dynasty on Weds. nights now. Yikes.

Still not terribly crazy about the show, though. They seem to pick the same old cruddy stuff over and over and over and over.

I'd like to know where it ended up. Mike probably kept it.

Sicily this week was interesting, too. I suppose that Italy would have to feature motorcycles predominantly. I love seeing the interiors of the buildings.

Next week UK. The previews showed some very cheeky Brits insulting them. That should be fun.
